Applicant tips

We want to ensure that your enquiry or application with us goes as smoothly as possible.

Start by searching for a job. You can register and apply for roles or, if you’d like to receive updates from the Recruitment Centre, simply fill out our My Profile. If you’ve submitted an application, you’ll receive a confirmation email. We’ll then keep you posted as we move through our recruitment process.

Here’s some information that will help guide you through applying for a role with us.

Cover letter:

• Briefly detail your relevant skills and expertise
• Say why you think you’re the best person for the role
• Tell us why we should hire you

CV:

• Ensure your CV is up to date with correct dates of employment
• Provide a summary of your responsibilities and key achievements
• Include the details of how to get in contact with you best
• You can also use Careers Services’ online CV builder

Assessment:

Depending on the role you’re applying for, assessments may be required. We’ll let you know what you need to do or bring with you to the assessment.

Interview:

Interviews are a great way to find out how we work together – to make sure the role is good for both of us. At the interview you’ll be asked a mix of competency- and behaviour-type questions. Some interviews may require a second interview or presentation and may include the opportunity to meet the team. Come prepared for the interview and make sure you have the questions you want to ask.

Final steps:

We’ll contact you as soon as possible regarding the outcome of the interview. We’ll also undertake reference checks with at least two referees. Security and credit checks may also be made (we’ll get your permission first). If you’re the successful candidate, we’ll make a verbal offer first and follow up with a formal offer.
