Our Managers and Specialists Induction was launched in 2017 following feedback that we needed to invest more to help new people at New Zealand Post understand what matters here. This includes our purpose - "Delivering what People Care about", our strategy and culture, and giving them a chance to build connections and gains insights into different business areas.
The programme is supported by our whole business, with a strong commitment to lead sessions from our CE, and all our senior business leaders.
Our people who have attended have said they value the networking, business insights and ‘big-picture’ context, the opportunity to meet leaders (including during the informal networking and dinner event), and the operational visits to our sites on our Highbrook campus in East Tamaki, Auckland, led by people who take huge pride in sharing their operation with others.
New managers are also introduced to what it means to be a People Leader at NZ Post and the support and resources available.
It's just one more way we help new people hit the ground running and allow them to do their best work with New Zealand Post!
